U.S. Loosens Restrictions on American Trade and Investment in Cuba


Amid U.S. officials issuing the release of 53 political Cuban prisoners, new measures by the Obama administration give authorized Americans consent to visit the communist island and airlines permission to fly to Cuba without having to apply for special licenses. Although general travel is still prohibited, these measures allow Americans to use credit cards and export “telephone, computer and Internet technologies.”
