San Francisco Treat

Cioppino is a tomato-based soup brimming with fresh clams, mussels, crab, shrimp and other seafood. If you want the real deal, visit Sotto Mare in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, where it is served in a giant silver bowl with a ladle. Use freshly baked bread to mop up the extra sauce and make sure to wear a bib.

Scallop Gallop

Sweet, meaty scallops lend themselves to elegant presentations. At HB’s on the Gulf, the beachside restaurant at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club in Naples, Florida, chef Justin Hornyak serves pan-seared scallops (pictured) with potato gnocchi, crispy pancetta and dried apricots in a beurre monte sauce, and finishes it with fresh herbs.

Cakes With a Kick

Lotsa Lobstah

New Englanders love their lobster rolls; the ones served at ArtBar in Royal Sonesta Boston in Cambridge, Massachusetts, are wicked awesome. Generous chunks of lobster meat are mixed in a light lemon aioli and piled high on buttery, toasted rolls. They are served with a basket of crispy sweet potato tater tots, which are equally awesome.
