Expanded Circadian Cove returns
What can even the largest conference look like when wellness is at the center, rather than an afterthought? Olympian Meeting is returning to IMEX America this year to demonstrate the power of medical-grade wellness in the evolution of last year’s Circadian Cove activation.
In partnership with Carbon World Health co-founder and emergency medicine physician Dr. Nestor Rodriguez, the activation will feature performance psychology and wellness protocols for all types of meetings.
The original Circadian Cove model was created by Olympian Meeting in partnership with Dr. Jess Garza, PMP, CMPC, LPC, NCC of Legacy Mindset as a wellness lounge designed around circadian rhythm alignment, human performance psychology, focus, energy and recovery. It was an evidence-based alternative to passive wellness lounges, with activations timed to participants’ natural energy cycles to support alertness, focus and restoration throughout the day.
Circadian Cove Rx adds a clinical and physiological layer to that foundation. “Elite athletes do not leave recovery, readiness, hydration, sleep, mindset and performance support to chance, so why do we ask business event participants to do exactly that?” asked David T. Stevens, co-founder of Olympian Meeting. “This is how we move from wellness as a perk to wellness as infrastructure.”
The solutions that will be demonstrated during the trade show offer event organizers a scalable way to support participants across three core categories:
Acute Support
One-time, event-based treatments and experiences designed to support participant readiness, recovery, energy, hydration, stress regulation and physical restoration during high-demand event environments. Think IV therapy, vitamin injections, red light therapy, compression therapy, cryotherapy and guided breathwork.
Maintenance Support
To bridge that gap between home workout routines and travel restrictions, Circadian Cove Rx will offer access to recovery, movement, hydration, metabolic and physiological support services that may not be available through the host venue or hotel.
Educational Support
Not every participant needs or wants a full treatment, but every participant can benefit from a better understanding of how their body performs under event conditions. Circadian Cove Rx includes educational programming around recovery, light exposure, nervous system regulation, hydration, metabolic health, sleep support, movement and human performance. “The focus is on teaching the benefit of the practice, not selling a product,” said Stevens.
“Corporate events are physically and cognitively demanding environments,” said Dr. Rodriguez. “Participants are often traveling across time zones, sleeping less, sitting more, eating differently and expected to perform at a high level. Circadian Cove Rx gives organizers a medically informed way to support the physiology behind that performance.”
Dr. Garza, a licensed professional counselor and board-certified mental performance consultant, will continue to guide the Circadian Cove experience through the lens of performance psychology, resilience, focus and behavioral science. She will advise on designing wellness experiences that are timed, intentional and aligned with how people actually think, feel, recover and perform inside event environments.
“This is not a wellness theater,” Stevens said. “If we are serious about participant engagement, ROI and human sustainability, we have to design for the body and brain in the same way elite performance environments do. Circadian Cove Rx brings that level of intentionality to meetings and events.”
