As faculty legal advisor to the International Association of Venue Managers and handling negotiations for a variety of hospitality business partners, Ty Sheaks has a front row seat on the increased focus being placed on contractual negotiations (and disputes) in the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Ty will give an update on some key contractual provisions to keep in mind for negotiations by meeting professionals with all types of venues as things continue to open up. Bonus: he will share tips for potentially mitigating issues in the future.

Ty M. Sheaks is a frequent speaker, author, and faculty legal advisor to the International Association of Venue Managers. Ty leads the Restaurant & Hospitality Section of the law firm McCathern, Shokouhi, Evans, Grinke from its Frisco, Texas office at The Star. He has extensive experience in the courtroom litigating a variety of business disputes as well as a robust transactional practice negotiating a variety of contracts and handling mergers & acquisitions.
