Mahekal Beach Resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico has added Armenta as director of sales and marketing. Most recently, she was group account director at The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona. Previously, Armenta served as regional director of Florida and the Caribbean Islands for Preferred Hotel Group and regional director of sales at The Delano and The Shore Club in Miami. The Mexico-native also spent time in Cancun as director of sales and marketing for Nizuc Resort & Spa in and director of leisure sales position for Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort & Spa.
Kimpton Solamar in San Diego welcomes Williams as sales manager. She previously served in this same role at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago. In her almost decade-long career in hospitality, Williams also spent time in front desk positions at Hyatt Regency and Holiday Inn properties.
Kimpton Goodland appointed Santilli associate director of sales at the Santa Barbara-area property. She was previously sales manager at Pasea Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach and Hyatt Regency in Orange County.
Barbican’s business events team expanded in London with the addition of Kwokori as account executive. He was previously at City of London Corporation.
BestCities Global Alliance announces Lim as board chair. She also holds the title of executive director of conventions, meetings and incentive travel for Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau. As board chair, she’ll be involved with the organization’s third annual BestCities Global Forum, which will take place in Bogota in December. Lim will lead the board comprised of members from other CVBs—Berlin, Bogota, Cape Town, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Dubai, Houston, Madrid, Melbourne, Tokyo and Vancouver.
L’Auberge de Sedona, A Destination Hotel, in Arizona appointed Olmstead general manager. Early in his career, the Hawaii-native worked in restaurants in Honolulu and San Francisco before getting into the hotel business. Olmstead previously served in managerial and food and beverage positions with InterContinental Hotels Group, working at the brand’s properties in San Francisco, Chicago and New York.
Monaco Government Tourist Office’s (MGTO) senior executive of sales and marketing Tuttocuore has been named to the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association’s (IGLTA) 2018-2019 Board of Directors. She and her four fellow board members will work with LGBTQ affiliated groups and allies to promote global tourism.
