Carolyn Poole started her career at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts where she was recognized with President’s Club and Achiever’s Awards for outstanding sales. Her career includes director roles with Delta Hotels and Resorts and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. In addition to property and global sales, Carolyn’s experience includes senior sales at Destination Planners Inc, a destination management company. As owner and principal of CAP Hospitality Marketing, Carolyn provided sales representation for luxury resorts, hotels and DMCs.

In addition to running an event strategy firm, BRAVO! Events based in Washington, D.C., Nancy Shaffer is president of Live Events Coalition, an advocacy organization that started in 2020 to protect the 12 million people in the industry impacted by Covid shutdowns. She considers herself a storyteller and problem-solver for clients. She is also a 2022 Smart Women in Meetings Award winner.
