North Carolina’s Raleigh Convention Center has promoted Lori Shumpert to director of events. Since joining the venue in 2022, Shumpert has advanced from event manager to senior event manager, bringing more than 18 years of experience in large-scale event management and venue operations. In her new role, she will oversee event operations as the convention center prepares for an expansion.

Griff Griffitts

Visit Panama City Beach in Florida has named Griff Griffitts president and CEO. A third-generation Bay County resident, Griffitts brings more than 40 years of hospitality experience, along with public service roles including Bay County commissioner and Florida House Representative. He will lead the organization’s strategy focused on year-round visitation, tourism growth and community impact across Panama City Beach.

Nicolas Raoux

Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown has appointed Nicolas Raoux as director of sales and marketing. Raoux brings more than a decade of hospitality experience, most recently serving at Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Seattle. In his new role, he will oversee revenue strategy, integrated marketing initiatives, and brand positioning while helping strengthen the hotel’s presence in Downtown Los Angeles’ competitive hospitality market.

Anne-Marie Schiefer

Visit West Hollywood in California has named Anne-Marie Schiefer vice president of marketing. Schiefer brings more than 15 years of destination marketing experience, most recently with Travel Costa Mesa, also in California. Known for strategic brand development and data-driven campaigns, she will help elevate West Hollywood’s global profile ahead of major international events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics.
