Learn about Nayarit for Event Venues, Services & Meeting Destinations
Located on the Pacific Coast, Nayarit was founded by the Huichol and Cora Indians. Due to the states origin, it has preserved a duel culture of Hispanic and pre-Hispanic persuasions. This makes Nayarit a truly unique region to visit.
The state’s main city area is the state capital of Tepic, where you can peruse and purchase brightly colored intricate crafts. Outside the city hub are a slew of beaches and lagoon areas. The waterfront is perfect for water sports, with gentle current and fine-sand beaches. The beaches also offer the opportunity for eco-tourism, Humpback whales are often spotted off the coast, and the region boasts an impressive array of tropical birds.
