Northern Nevada is full of fun for event attendees. While they visit the state for your event, it offers the chance for them to take part in their own mini-events while they’re here. From Reno and Lake Tahoe to Carson City and Sparks, meeting at the cities’ hotels and venues, hitting the outdoors and visiting local shops has never been more adventurous.

5 Reasons to Visit Lake Tahoe

Outdoor activities. Stand-up paddleboarding is big business in Reno and Lake Tahoe. According to Visit Reno Tahoe, features some of the best locations to hop on the board, like Kings Beach and Sand Harbor. There are also plenty of places to ride bikes, hike and raft.

Live music. Attendees can hear acts perform at events like like Reno River Festival at Idlewild Park, a three-day festival in downtown Reno, and Classical Tahoe, a four-week-long jazz and classical music performance at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Wellness. Those who love to get their bodies moving while on the road are in luck. Next door in Truckee, California, there are plenty of yoga studios where attendees can catch a yoga or hot Pilates class. Additionally, hotels in Reno and Lake Tahoe have an abundance of spas, including Peppermill Reno, Grand Sierra Resort and Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino.

Local shops. Reno Tahoe is home to shops offering everything from local crafts to distinctive keepsakes. In Reno, shops like The Wedge Ceramics Studio offer a selection of pottery and classes for attendees to create their own, and local centers like MidTown Reno feature boutiques, shops, beauty salons and more.

History. While the East Coast has no shortage of historical sights, Nevada also has a story to tell. As the capital of Nevada, Carson City has numerous museums highlighting the state’s beginnings, like Battle Born Hall, which delves into the people and events that made the state what it is today.
