Visit Baltimore

Pizza making and a high-ropes adventure challenge are among the 14 immersive activities offered by Visit Baltimore’s new experiential program for groups.

The program, which was announced Monday, is designed to provide groups of varying sizes with behind-the-scenes tours so they can experience the city’s top attractions from a unique perspective. Visit Baltimore collaborated with tourism expert Joe Veneto—founder  of Opportunities Limited, a management consulting and training company—to develop the experiences.

Tour costs range from $7 to $99 and can accommodate up to 200 people. They include:

  • teaching dolphins at an aquarium
  • team-building through low-ropes course challenge
  • a party package involving hands-on games
  • an introduction to wine production and consumption, including a tasting opportunity
  • a visit to the B&O Railroad Museum
  • an in-depth exploration of the life of Edgar Allan Poe, including a visit to his former home and Enoch Pratt Free Library, which contains some rarely seen Poe artifacts
  • a visit to the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture, with a personal tour that illuminates what life was like in Jim Crow Maryland.
