BOSTON−On opening day of PCMA Convening Leaders at the Hynes Convention Center, Active Network, Double Dutch and Freeman jumped into the spotlight with breaking news about tech products and services that will impact the meetings industry.

Active Network unveiled a new tool that will allow suppliers, such as hoteliers and convention sales staff, to respond to electronic RFPs up to 70 percent faster. Active MarketView 3.0 features pre-populated “favorite” responses, including information about meeting location specifications, default language and default currency. This feature will not only save users time as they complete eRFPs, but also ensures consistency with responses. Another bonus is that responses to the eRFPs are saved automatically without having to follow a wizard.

“Our goal is to provide suppliers with technology that gives them time back in their day to focus on high-value activities, such as building relationships with customers,” said David O’Donohoe, Active’s general manager for suppliers. “By making it quick and easy to accurately respond to eRFPs in a single page with pre-populated answers, Active MarketView 3.0 meets these needs.”

DoubleDutch, which specializes in data-driven mobile event applications, is promoting the release of a new app that takes advantage of iOS 7 for faster performance and improved data collection. The new technology will debut later this year at events powered by DoubleDutch. Trade show and conference attendees will experience a new user interface, complete offline mode and performance 10 times faster.
