Claim to Fame: “Action!”

The movies made history here, and that glitter and bling lives on—especially after this neighborhood’s dedicated effort to burnish and recapture its magic of yesteryear. Add new hip clubs and restaurants, historic theaters and hotels to its sex appeal, plus mega-venues that can make dreams come true for groups of any size.

Universal Studios Hollywood can make a star out of any meeting planner. Where else can you host your event or meeting in the world’s largest working movie studio and Hollywood movie-based theme park? There are more than 35 indoor and outdoor meeting and event venues, two worldclass hotels and an exciting entertainment district.

“The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” which continues to be the park’s most popular immersive experience, just added a nocturnal special effects and light show set to the music of Academy Award-winning composer John Williams. The VIP Experience takes your group to the studio’s back lot with a private guide, a peek at famous film sets, experiential rides and much more.

Stay

The Hollywood Roosevelt dates to 1927 and hosted the first Academy Awards in 1929. Most of its 300 guest rooms were renovated in 2015, and now pair perfectly for a historic gathering with 35,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor meeting space. Dream Hollywood Hotel is brand new. This 10-story boutique luxury venue offers 178 hyper-chic guest rooms, classically unconventional dining experiences and an 11,000-square-foot rooftop lounge with pool that can be booked as an event venue. On the second floor overlooking the dramatic lobby, find dynamic, stateof- the-art space for meetings, exhibits and banquets that will be available starting in September.

Also new is the W Sound Suite at W Hollywood hotel— a music studio for hotel guests, and musicians and writers on the road.

Another Hollywood hotel opening this month:

Kimpton Everly Hotel, with 216 guest rooms and 12,600 sq. ft. of meeting space, including a glass-enclosed conservatory and private suite for VIP gatherings in Hollywood’s Beachwood Canyon neighborhood.
