Surrounded by the towering peaks of the West Elks along side the Smith Fork of the Gunnison River, this historic guest ranch sets the perfect stage for an intimate private retreat.

With a total occupancy of twenty six double and thirteen single, Smith Fork Ranch is the perfect buyout facility. Our staff will be your staff, our ranch, your ranch. Exclusive use of SFR includes; the Elk Lodge, hot tubs, work out room, private massage room, billiards table, fully stocked fly tying desk, use of top of the line fly fishing equipment, exclusive use of our ranch horses, fly fishing our three miles of private waters, and exclusive permitted back country waters, with one of our knowledgeable and talented guides.

Dine on our open air Pavilion, down by the Smith Fork river cook out site, breakfast in the Dinner Bell Cook House, or take your gourmet picnic lunch to a shady spot next to one of our seven ponds. Choose a fine wine from our wine cellar with a selection of 250 plus labels. Our full bar is stocked with a well rounded selection of beers and premium liquor.

Trail riding on SFR and in the surrounding wilderness and forest can be customized, from two hour trail rides, breakfast rides, cocktail/cookout rides and with enough notice we can arrange an over night pack trip into the wilderness to fly fish virtually untouched streams and beaver ponds.

Unpretentious elegance in the rustic tradition describes our cabins and guest lodge rooms, each with private bath, furnished with handcrafted furniture and antiques. Sumptuous feather beds with down comforters make the perfect end to your day.
