What's Distinctive?

In the mid 1920's The Gallatin Gateway Inn was built to serve and refresh weary travelers.  Completed in an astonishing four months, crews of as many as 500 men completed the 42,000 square foot Spanish-style building.  Unquestionably this was considered by many to be the event of the year, as was chronichled in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.  It is said that 20,000 people descended on the Inn for its grand opening, overshadowing the flight of Lindbergh in the Montana headlines on June 17, 1927.  From its advanced fire protection systems to a telephone in each room, Gallatin Gateway Inn was touted as one of the most luxurious and sophisticated hotels of its day.  Today the Gallatin Gateway Inn is a gracious, full service hotel, offering superb dining and accommodations for today’s traveler.
