Williamsburg Hotel to be Reflagged as DoubleTree

The Williamsburg Hotel & Conference Center near Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens in Virginia has a new owner that intends to turn the property into a DoubleTree by Hilton. The 295-room hotel was purchased for an undisclosed amount by a joint venture of Interstate Hotels & Resorts of Arlington, Va., and Waramaug Hospitality of Washington, Conn. The new owners are planning a $7.5 million renovation. The property features 45,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including an auditorium with a 700-person capacity.
