TSA Expands PreCheck to Canadian Travelers in Nexus Program

Beginning Nov. 15, Canadian citizens with Nexus cards are now eligible for the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck program, which allows members to bypass certain elements of airport security. A joint effort of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Canada Border Services Agency, the longstanding Nexus program identifies low-risk, pre-approved travelers and lets them use special lanes at border crossings and ports of entry. There are about 738,000 travelers enrolled in Nexus. Travel industry groups, including the Global Business Travel Association and U.S. Travel Association, applauded the expansion of the PreCheck program. travelpulse.com
