Rabbits Nibbling on Cars at Denver Airport

- by Bill Chapin

Floppy-eared saboteurs are causing trouble for some travelers who park their car at Denver International Airport. Local CBS affiliate KCNC-TV (channel 4) says there have been reports of rabbits chewing through brake lines, clutch lines and other wiring on the undersides of passengers’ cars. The varmints have been an ongoing problem at the airport; the TV station first reported on rabbit-induced damage to de-icing equipment back in 1999. Airport officials say few vehicles parked in its lots experience any trouble, and that agents from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Wildlife Services regularly patrol the area and remove any furry intruders. cbslocal.com
