Loews to Help Loyalty Members Get Through Airport Security Faster

In a first for a hospitality company, Loews Hotels & Resorts is making expedited airport screening part of a hotel loyalty program. For members of its YouFirst Platinum program, the New York luxury hotel chain is offering to pay the $100 application fee for the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol’s Global Entry program, which lets pre-approved travelers enter the country using automated kiosks. Once enrolled, travelers will also be eligible for PreCheck, the Transportation Security Administration’s trusted-traveler program that allows low-risk passengers to bypass parts of the normal airport security screening process. Loews’ offer is available only to current members of its top-tier loyalty program for the next 60 days, but the company may consider expanding it to new members. latimes.com
