Hotel Guests Fond of iPads, but not Enough to Steal Them

When hotels offer iPads as an in-room amenity, guests tend to use them, according to a study by Intelity, which develops software for the tablets in use at hundreds of properties worldwide. The Orlando tech company monitored usage at 53 hotels and found 82% of guests with access to iPads used the devices. Those who took a swipe at a touchscreen used it an average of 11 times, most often for ordering room service. The company also discovered that theft of the devices was rare. Hotels reported only two damaged iPads and zero stolen within the last two years. latimes.com
