Cincinnati Strikes Deal to Renovate Downtown Hyatt

The Hyatt Regency Cincinnati will undergo a $17 million renovation thanks to a deal the city struck with the hotel’s owner, Lehman Brothers subsidiary Lamco LLC. The agreement calls for the city to give up its rights to the land beneath the hotel for $1.5 million less than its appraised value. As a result, all 485 rooms will get a facelift, as well as other spaces in the hotel. The downtown building has more than 33,000 sq. ft. of event space, including the largest ballroom in the city and 18 meeting rooms. cincinnati.com
