Kathy Van Vechten was appointed vice president, sales and marketing of Terranea Resort,  slated to open mid-2009 in Palos Verdes, Calif. She was director of marketing for the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas.

The Fairmont Miramar Hotel Santa Monica (Calif.) appointed Ellis O’Connor general manager. He was general manager of Gramercy Park Hotel in New York.

Jeri Dixon was appointed director of sales and national accounts for Aramark Convention Centers  and Cultural Attractions, based in Forth Worth, Texas.  She was owner and president of Jeri Dixon and Associates,  a food & beverage consulting and event-planning business.

The Historic Plains Hotel, in Cheyenne, Wyo.,  promoted Debbie Disney to general manager.  She was the hotel’s assistant general manager.

Brad Doell was promoted to director of sales and marketing of Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa, a 521-room property on Hawaii’s Big Island. He was the resort’s director of group sales.

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa located on the island’s Kaanapali Beach,  promoted Joseph Medwetz to director of group sales. He was the resort’s associate director of sales.
