Meeting Professionals International appointed Cary Broussard vice president, marketing and brand strategy. She was the leading diversity officer and senior vice president of marketing for Wyndham International, also in Dallas. Broussard is the author of From Cinderella to CEO.

Patrick Blanch was named general manager of Aerie Resort, a member of the Relais & Chateaux collection in Victoria, B.C. He was general manager of the Hearthstone Lodge and Fireside Lodge in Sun Peaks, B.C.

Rafael Torres was appointed general manager of The Pines Resort and Conference Center in Bass Lake, Calif., near Yosemite National Park. He was executive director of food and beverage at The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts named Jeffrey Guillory director of sales and marketing for the Millennium Biltmore in downtown Los Angeles. He was director of sales and marketing at the InterContinental Hotel Miami.

Matt Brody was appointed director of sales and marketing at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa, Tucson’s newest and largest resort. He was director of sales and marketing for both the Renaissance Grand and Renaissance St. Louis Suites hotels in St. Louis, Mo.

Janene Varden was named director of sales and marketing at Willows Lodge, a luxury property located in Woodinville, Wash.  She was director of sales at Hotel Monaco in downtown Seattle.
