Renaissance Dallas to Build Addition Featuring Two Ballrooms

Hotels & Resorts

The Renaissance Dallas Hotel is launching a $20 million expansion project that will more than double the property’s meeting space. The hotel currently has 17 meeting rooms that total 19,000 sq. ft. The new development will build a 30,000-square-foot addition that includes a 16,000-square-foot ballroom. A second ballroom with a rooftop terrace will feature another 10,900 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space and offer views of the Dallas skyline. The hotel is owned by Marriott Vice Chairman John Willard Marriott III’s investment company, JWM Family Enterprises, which has already invested $15 million in renovations to the hotel since buying it in 2006. It is located northwest of downtown near the city’s medical district. dallasnews.com
