  • Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colo., underwent a four-month multimillion-dollar renovation that was completed in December, just in time for ski season. The iconic property dates back to 1889 and has revisited decor reflective of a 19th-century silver baron’s home. With 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and its popular J-Bar, the hotel has been a magnet for stars ranging from the Eagles (before they were actually called the Eagles) to John Wayne and was mentioned in the writings of Hunter S. Thompson.
  • Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs is expected to open later this year, when it reinvents the former Hotel Zoso. There will be 160 guest rooms and 20,500 sq. ft. of ballroom and banquet facility space.
  • Half Moon Bay Lodge, an 80-room, upscale hotel 27 miles south of San Francisco, completed a $1.5 million renovation in May. Specializing in executive retreats, the hotel updated all guest rooms, has a new lobby and expanded indoor and outdoor meeting facilities. The new 400-square-foot covered patio was created for breaks, meals and cocktail receptions, offering views of adjacent Half Moon Bay Golf Links.
