Yosemite open for business
The 53-square-mile wildfire that started more than a week ago in the mountains 12 miles west of Yosemite National Park is close to being completely under control. The blaze has destroyed 21 homes and filled the valley with smoke over the weekend but fire officials have lifted the evacuation order and are reporting that the blaze is 95 percent contained. Kenny Karst, public relations manager of Yosemite says that all lodging, dining and activities are in full swing and the views are smoke free “like the fire never happened,” he said.
