Space in the Desert

Get ready for another Ritz in Arizona. Set to be completed in late 2009, the $160-million project—a 250-room resort and residences—is underway in Marana, just northwest of Tucson. The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, the hotel company’s second property in the state, will offer two ballrooms for a total of 13,800 sq. ft. and a number of outdoor venues in the sunny Sonoran Desert. In addition to the 17,000-square-foot spa, guests will enjoy 27 holes of golf to be finished in late 2008 and an extra nine to be done by 2010. ritzcarlton.com
