Abrupt Adieu to Aloha Airlines
After 61 years of service to and from the Hawaiian Islands, Aloha Airlines operated its final flights March 31, following its March 20 filing for bankruptcy. Aloha’s code-share partner, United Airlines, plus Hawaiian Airlines and other carriers are prepared to help Aloha passengers affected by the situation. The Hawaiian Tourism Authority has been coordinating with these airlines as well as hotels statewide—Marriott Resorts among them—to minimize the fallout of Aloha’s shutdown on travelers. hawaiitourismauthority.org
