Sheraton Overhauls Properties
Sheraton has big plans for renovations in the coming year as nearly half of its North American hotels are slated to be part of a $1.7-billion makeover. The company will revamp the properties with fresh décor, brighter colors and modified lobbies with new restaurants and cafes in a park-like setting. Starwood plans on positioning Sheraton as a brand that can compete with Hilton and Marriott by adding Starbucks coffee and flat-panel TVs to the guest rooms, in addition to the upcoming structural and decorative renovations.
