Royal Improvements in Hawaii
The historic Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Waikiki Beach in Oahu is undergoing a $50-million facelift that shutters the hotel until January 2009. This is the 81-year-old resort’s first closing since serving as Navy housing following the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. royal-hawaiian.com
