Bienvenidos A Mexico!
The welcome mat is out for meetings in Mexico. In fact, the Mexico Tourism Board is opening a marketing office in Washington, D.C. next month, increasing their longtime presence in the U.S. market. And they’re putting their money where their mouth is.
MTB’s funding for promotional initiatives has increased by 40 percent this year, not only for tourism, but also with particular emphasis on meetings and conventions, according to Eduardo Chaillo, an industry veteran who will head the Washington office.
In addition to increased funding, there’s further evidence of Mexico’s interest in our market with the opening or construction of new convention centers and meetings hotel properties, new golf courses and other amenities, throughout the country.
