Smart Meetings books some of the most notable luxury properties in the United States for our Smart Events, and next week’s event at the Montage Beverly Hills is no exception. Located just a few blocks from Rodeo Drive, the hotel serves as an ideal base from which to launch a shopping excursion into the heart of the country’s most famous high-end retail district.
That’s just one thing that makes visiting this elegant, Spanish Colonial-style property such a memorable experience. Here is a closer look at the setting for the Smart Event Beverly Hills.

–A relatively new addition to L.A.’s luxury hotel scene, the Montage opened in November 2008.
–The last time Smart Meetings brought one of our signature events to the Montage, it featured 9,000 sq. ft. of meetings space. Today the hotel has 20,000, including indoor and outdoor spaces.
–The hotel’s rooftop pool recently became available as an event venue, offering stunning views of Hollywood.
–In addition to two large ballrooms, the hotel has several noteworthy options for small groups, including a 484-square-foot library and a chef’s table, offering 12 people a front-row view of the action in the kitchen of Scarpetta Italian restaurant.

–It has its very own in-house fashion stylist. A contributor to magazines including In Touch, Joseph Katz is available to take guests on private, personalized tours of the high-end retail on nearby Rodeo Drive.
–The editor of British GQ recently called it “the sleeping giant of L.A. hotels.” Dylan Jones extolled the Montage as “one of the quietest, most stately hotels in the city. It has the coolest of secret bars, the Parq, Scott Conant’s Scarpetta restaurant, and a rooftop restaurant, the Conservatory Grill, which serves the best breakfast in town: smoked salmon, avocado, caper berries, chopped egg, red onion and creme fraiche…The Montage is the perfect place at which to base yourself when you’re in the mood for some serious retail therapy.”

–You just may catch a glimpse of a celeb. Recent sightings have included Gwenyth Paltrow sipping tea at Parq Bar and Connie Britton and other nominees at a pre-Emmy bash at Scarpetta. USA Today included Scarpetta on its list of “The Best Restaurants to Spot Celebrities in Beverly Hills.”
–The Daily Meal recently named the hotel one of the Top 5 spots for afternoon tea in Los Angeles. “The harpist and antique china set a nice refined mood,” the site reported.
–The hotel is directly across from Beverly Canon Gardens, the city’s newest green space. It features 33,000 sq. ft. of public gardens, outdoor dining, water features and more.
–Most importantly, it’s not too late for planners to experience all of this by attending the Smart Event. A limited number of spots are available. To register, click here.
