The Texas Panhandle is the part of the state bordered by New Mexico and Oklahoma, and speaks for 26 Texas counties, the most notable being Briscoe County,  the city of Amarillo, Dumas and Pampa.

The Texas Panhandle is a perfect example of Texas’s range of architecture, wealth of natural spectacles, ambiance and culture.  Amarillo, the largest city in the state has a distinctly modern feel to its commercial areas, while Canyon, home to the Panhandle-Plains Museum is more traditional, and even colonial in its aesthetics.

Punctuating the varied types of architecture are the great expanses of undeveloped land. Caprock Canyons State Park in Briscoe County gives the Red Rocks of Arizona a run for its money.  Located right outside the minimalist sleek streets of Amarillo is the third largest canyon in Texas and provides hiking biking and equestrian trails throughout is stunning canyons.  To go “bigger”, the nearby Palo Duro Canyon is the second largest in the United States and has been coined the Grand Canyon of Texas. This canyon, adorned with more green foliage than the Caprock is another great place for outdoor adventures. Prarie Dog Town Fork Red River runs through the canyon, making the trip to the bottom a possible aquatic experience.
