New culturally-enriching dining experiences feature “art coming to life” with the works of Mexican artist Leon Alva created against the backdrop of live jazz. The Mexico of yesteryear comes to life in La Joya, the resort’s upscale Mexican restaurant. Innovation meets sophistication at the resort’s Gem Spa. Built as a brand new annex to the resort, the 40,000 square-foot spa features unique gem therapy treatments, a ten-step hydrotherapy ritual, sophisticated design elements and luxurious spa amenities.

The ten-step Hydrotherapy Ritual detoxifies skin through contrasts of warm and cool temperatures combined with high and low water pressures. These healing effects are achieved with a guided “circuit” through an aromatherapy steam room, multi-jet shower, clay steam room, ice room, sauna, rain shower, whirlpool, lagoon pool, a “pool of sensation” filled with bubble and floor geysers, water cascades and cervical neck jets and completed in relaxation lounge area.

The spa’s luxurious treatments are inspired by the natural healing elements of gems from the Mayan Riviera, South Pacific and Asia, and the Baltic while a signature collection of treatments integrates the use of diamond dust.
