Destination Description
Puebla, located in Mexico’s central region, is a massive sprawling city. It is unlikely that a city of such magnitude would so effortlessly preserve its rich culture, but Puebla has, distinguishing itself as a world heritage site, boasting more than 5,000 buildings with preserved colonial architecture. The preserved architecture is mostly baroque, making a visit to the state and enriching and enveloping experience. And there are elements of this festive design that you can take with you. The area is also recognized as being the epicenter for talavera pottery, an ornate and beautiful method of ceramics. To commemorate the accomplishment, the state has funded several museums such as the Museo Regional de Antropologia e Historia de Pueblaand the Museo de Arte Jose Luis Bello y Gonzalez to help preserve the area’s anthropological and artistic history.
